American film producer and the founder of MadRiver Pictures: a global film production, finance, and international sales company. During Butan's illustrious career, he has served as co-president of Sierra-Affinity, president of Panorama Media, president of 2929 Productions, executive vice president of Production at Lions Gate Entertainment where he was responsible for overseeing all creative elements of film development and in-house film production at the studio; and previous to that he served as chief media and entertainment investment banker for Kidder, Peabody & Co. and Prudential Financial.
